Personally I'd make image hiding global to the whole site
If I don't want to see a particular image in one board, it's highly probable I don't want to see it regardless of the place it was posted on
At best, if there is high demand for the other behaviour you can add a setting somewhere to switch between the two, but keep it as it is for now

Okay this took a while, but I got solution that should work for local storage with posts and threads on the index. It does NOT work on the catalog unfortunately.
I also have something with images almost working. Small problem is that now hiding images lags alot for some reason. It's actually kind of odd. I hope these two problems soon.
Also, the code is fucking messy and I didn't remove any of my console.log statements before posting it.

I actually have a question however. Do you think it's a good idea to hide images by md5 sum or should I hide it by board, postnumber and index? I decided to hide it by md5 sum, so now images posted on one board will be hidden on other boards, but I'm not sure if that's the best option...

I have more ideas where I can go with this, and this isn't anywhere done in it's current state, but I just wanted to post an update. Now I gotta buy christmas presents.

First of all I try not to take "sides", that only serves the agenda of those who seek to reduce everything to binary contexts, the "You are either with us or against us" approach. Much easier to control things when the zeitgeist only has two options.

I don't specifically believe this to be a unique case, posting Pepes, or Hitler or gang-rape webms will break the law in many jurisdictions, yet many imageboards are quite sanguine. I don't like the "young model" stuff however I find it easy to ignore, what concerns me is singling out a particular category, empowering those who would like to clamp down on ANY dissident opinion, a 'trial run' for further oppression involving alt-news sources or imageboard /pol/ s for example.

For those who claim that spamming boards with SPAM IS FREE SPEECH over and over I would say that free speech is a hard-fought for privilege not a right, do not abuse it if you've got nothing to say, you will wear out your voice.

/hebe/ and the other boards can freely discuss about models, and even post links (I think? dunno if they actually can), so why is making it a text board not "free speech"?
